Computer Systems/@ Cyber Cafe we have a wide selection of standard and
customizable I.T services available to the public and small business. We
charge a standard hourly rate for all callouts / in-house work and callouts
can be made 7 days a week up to 9pm, availability varies.
We provide
free no obligation quotes for all jobs, and work on a no-fix no-fee policy
for our repairs. Our guys will try and keep everything jargon free, but if
you have any questions just ask.

Recovery

A computer hard drive or disk stores
information in such a way that it is possible to recover lost data (files,
pictures, documents etc). If you have accidentally deleted some
important documents, family photos or Windows fails to load all is not
lost, we can attempt to restore your files. We can even work on a formatted
hard-drive. Success rates are usually over 90% depending on file types and
the way in which the data was lost. Success rates drop dramatically
if data has been written over (Windows can do this just by loading), so
don’t touch it, don’t panic, just call us. If we are unable to
recover any of your files there is no charge.

Backup (Up-to 4.7 GB of data)*
Prevention is always better than cure, rather than
us having to recover lost files after a disaster back your files up and
prevent the stress. Depending on the size of the data we can backup
important files from your PC to CDs, DVDs, portable hard drives or memory
sticks. If you need to make regular backups we can provide you with some
options based on the situation so you can backup your own data safely.
Remember backups should be stored in a separate location (in-case of fires,
flooding, theft etc)

Generally if your computer needs haven’t
changed and the PC was fine when it was new we would advise a PCMOT rather
than an upgrade. If your needs have changed and now you need to burn DVDs
or play one of the latest computer games then we can provide a quote for
any necessary upgrades or cost effective custom built computers.

If your machines software is beyond repair, or
the fix will take over 2 hours we recommend a Windows Reinstall. The time and
costs are lower, and unless you have important data you need recovered
first a re-install often works out cheaper than a lengthy fix. There
are other benefits to a Windows reinstall; the machine should perform as
new, without any unneeded software in the system slowing it down, it would
be completely free of virus’s and spyware. We would install Anti Virus,
Spyware protection, firewalls and perform all necessary software and
security updates. There would be no annual charge for the software we
install (unlike many of the better known and less effective security
packages available)

computers, and whether you need a home gaming network setup or an office
networked to share one internet line and a printer you have came to the
right place. Quotes are given on a job by job basis as many factors have to
be considered; from cable length, to networking equipment to security and
wireless accessibility. We provide free no obligation quotes and can advise
you on the best choice of network based on your needs.

(VPN) Virtual Private Network Installation*
Have a network in Cumbria
and an office in Rotterdam, or anywhere,
Liverpool or Rome?
Do you need a secure connection between remote sites? We can setup a VPN
server at your office and provide step by step instructions and telephone
support for setting up the other offices (in the interests of keeping your
costs down) or we could arrange a callout and do it all for you. A
VPN will provide a secure network to link your offices, files and resources
could be shared over great distances instantly. A VPN will require internet
access at all sites (broadband is strongly recommended)

Do you have a computer for work but use it as
a glorified word processor? Databases are computer based time saving
applications and with the right database you could call up information on
jobs completed last year, pending for the next week or appointments booked
in for that afternoon. The @ Cyber Café can custom design a database
for your business needs, guiding you from conception to
completion. Databases could be used for anything from a list of services or
stock control system & price lists to customer bookings with client
information or job-sheets & invoicing. Even all of them in one! Prices
vary depending on the size of the database & we would provide a free
quote for anything considered.

We run an internet café and this is our bread
and butter, we can advise on which ISPs (Internet Service Providers) are
reliable and low-cost. Internet access to computers in the home or
office can be cabled or made wireless and there are advantages to both.
With advances in technology we can now setup internet access to connect
using the mobile phone network, meaning you can browse the web and send
emails from the park. We can advise what is going to be best for you based
upon your needs. We can supply and fit any hardware needed, but we will
give you a free quote first. If you already have internet access but
it’s became slow, unreliable or has stopped working completely we can help,
just call to arrange a callout.

Computers need regular maintenance, not only
for the software but also for hardware. If your computer has been on
the floor, in a smoky or dusty environment, or even if it hasn’t been
serviced in some time dirt can gather on the fans, and fan grills reducing
the air flow and causing your computer to run hotter than it should.
Computers are designed to operate in cool temperatures; the hotter the
components get the slower the machine will run. During the MOT we clean all
the fans & remove dust from components before we begin on the software.
Software installed on your computer can become outdated, new security files
released by Microsoft may not be downloaded, viruses & spyware can run
amok even if you have antivirus installed. We check all security installed,
update all necessary files and programs, install a high acclaimed, yet free
anti virus and spyware removing program. We remove any unnecessary programs
and reduce the computers number of running processes when needed. We also
scan and remove viruses and spy ware infection, remove temporary files, and
defragment the hard disk. A complete service for your computer.
Regular maintenance ensures your computer will continue to operate at peak

PC fails to load? Refuses to even power on?
We can diagnose & replace faulty hardware, repair Windows faults, fix
drive issues or correct a whole host of other problems which can stop your
computer from functioning correctly. We will diagnose & quote for free.
We also aim to have a 24hr turnaround on all fixes not requiring
replacement hardware.
(Usually fixed with 5 day turnaround for any PC requiring replacement
components. New components are covered on a 12 months to lifetime warranty)
